University of Michigan Scholarships

Eligibility: Enrolled or planning to enroll as full-time students

Requirements: Strong academic record, demonstrated financial need, and completion of FAFSA or CSS Profile

Types: Merit-based, need-based, departmental, and external scholarships

Michigan Achievement Scholarship

– Eligibility: Michigan high school graduates with a diploma, certificate of completion, or equivalency certificate from 2025 or later

– Requirements: Complete FAFSA, demonstrate financial need with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $26,000 or less

– Award: Up to $6,500 annually for Michigan public universities, $3,750 for community or tribal colleges, and $5,000 for private universities

– University of Michigan International Undergraduate Scholarship: $12,000 annual scholarship for up to four years, totaling $44,000.
– University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars Program: Fully funded scholarship covering tuition, living expenses, and research allowance for early career faculty from African universities.
– High Potential Scholarship Program: Offers partial scholarships of $45,000 per academic year for highly talented students from outside the US.
– Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellowship Program: Eight-month immersive experience with access to specialized resources and faculty at the University of Michigan.
– The Brick Program Endowed Scholarship: $3,000 annual tuition award for undergraduate students in the College of Engineering and Computer Science.
– Junge Family Endowed Scholarship: $1,000 per year award for two years, totaling $2,000, for students studying industrial and systems engineering or manufacturing engineering.
– University of Michigan Presidential Scholarship: Full-tuition scholarship for selected entering undergraduate students, renewable for up to eight terms .
